Worky Work Work

So, speculation of where it is I'm working seems to be running high, with wild, unwarranted rumors flying all over the place. Except from Tessa, who visited me on Sunday. No, it is not believed I am working for an escort service, as my opening sentence seems to imply. I am indeed working in a cafe, that will continue, on Never Reason, to be nameless. Please note that if any of you correctly name my workplace in a comment, it will be deleted. This isn't because I hate it, I actually quite like it. The people are really nice and fun, the customers are friendly, and the atmosphere is bright and cheery, just what I like. However, I do not want to be Dooced (scroll to the bottom, where it says DOOCED in green, if you don't know what I mean), and therefore the workplace will try to remain as anonymous as possible.

Had a midterm tonight, for infancy psyc. There are a lot of things I didn't know about pregnancy. For example, other than the obvious things like tabacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs, regular use of aspirin and caffeine can harm your baby. In fact, there are over a hundred over the counter drugs that could have negative effects on a fetus. And Accutane, a drug used to fight severe acne, can have extreme effects on a baby; it's the most severe widely-prescribed teratogen (fetus-harming agents) since Thalidomide. Luckily, the dangers of Accutane are known, and it's contraindicated for pregnant women. It also comes with massive warnings about pregnancy, and tells you to use two forms of contraception. Unfortunately, there are still hundreds of births affected by Accutane use in Canada every year, due to lack of knowledge and insufficient use of contraception. Definitely something to work on.
